Photo Manipulation

Photos have been manipulated for many years to produce different opinions and meaning. Also the government change photos as a weapon against people so people have a certain opinion about the photo. It is also used in war to show the people at home what is going on so they can see something is wrong or not right. In the Vietnam war the press were let loose to film and photograph what they pleased and this was the last time they were allowed because they showed the people the more real side of the war they might not have know back home. The photo called "The Vietnam execution" could either be seen as a crazy general executing a civilian or a general shooting a criminal, this just shows how you can so easily change the meaning of a photo. Different peoples perspectives can change the meaning of a photo as people think different and have different views. You can also change a photo by photoshoping or cropping an image, this can alter the context. The juxtaposition of "The Vietnam execution" and the film that goes with it alters the meaning of the photo as you can see what happened befor he was killed and after.
